Quilting - Patchwork Block Class DUNDEE

In this one day class we will be moving on from the Beginner's quilting class by designing and starting to make your very own blocks - perfect for using up all those fat quarters!

We will be learning all about Half Square Triangles and the correct techniques to join them together - you can go on to use them as a table runner, wall hanging, cushion covers or as part of a larger quilt - anything really! We will start by planning and designing your layout and then learn how to sew half square triangles. We will make at least 3 x 12" blocks and join these together. 

You will learn all about the different tools, cutting techniques, different layouts, pressing techniques and how to line everything up and sew it perfectly!

What to Bring - To make your blocks you will need - 6-8 fat quarters in varying prints (2 x fat quarters will do one 12" block).
You will also need your sewing kit - scissors, pins etc

*We will not cover any quilting techniques or binding in this class just making patchwork blocks. If you want to learn these techniques we suggest our Beginner's Quilting Class.
