Ready to take the next step after learning the basics? Our Intro to Dressmaking class is the perfect bridge between beginner sewing and garment making.
In this workshop, you’ll create a classic A-line skirt - a timeless wardrobe staple and an ideal first dressmaking project. Whether you’ve recently completed our Beginners Class or simply want the reassurance of a guided sew-along, this session is designed to help you build confidence in a relaxed, supportive environment.
When you arrive, you’ll collect your paper pattern, and once your measurements have been taken, you’ll learn how to choose the correct size before cutting out both your pattern and fabric.
From there, our wonderfully patient tutor Rhona will guide you through the construction of your skirt step by step, helping you understand each stage as you sew.
