Sashiko Embroidery Class Glasgow

Slow down, pick up a needle, and discover the mindful art of Sashiko embroidery. Originally developed in Japan as a practical mending technique, Sashiko has become beloved around the world for its beautiful geometric patterns, rhythmic stitching, and calming, meditative process.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn a selection of traditional Sashiko techniques, including Moyozashi and Hitomezashi, while building confidence in creating neat, consistent stitches and striking decorative patterns.

Once you've mastered the basics, you'll use your new skills to create a beautiful embroidered badge to take home and proudly wear or add to your favourite bag, jacket, or handmade project.  If you have an item that you would like to bring along to mend during the session you are more then welcome to.
