Beginners Sewing 2 Day Course Glasgow
Best for weekenders

2 Day Course

Two consecutive weekend days: two Saturdays, two Sundays, or a full Sat/Sun weekend. Check available dates before booking.

You'll leave with four complete projects and the skills to keep going at home.

There's a great cafe in Morris Park open Mon-Sat if you fancy lunch. Sunday students, worth bringing your own as options nearby are limited!

5 Evening Course

Five weekly sessions of 2.5 hours each, held at our Glasgow studio. A relaxed, social way to build your skills over time.

We've got answers.

Do I need to bring my own sewing machine?
Nope, we have a studio full of them. Just bring yourself.
I've literally never sewn before. Is that okay?
That's exactly who this course is for. We start at the very beginning: threading the machine, understanding the basics, and build from there. No experience whatsoever needed.
What will I actually make?
Four projects: a tote bag, bunting, a zipped and lined makeup bag, and a piped cushion. Each one is carefully chosen to teach you a different set of skills you'll use again and again.
Do I need to bring fabric or equipment?
You'll need a basic sewing kit and fabric for your projects. Full details on exactly what to bring are sent in your confirmation email after booking. Or add our Beginners Fabric Kit (£45) and Equipment Kit (£45) at checkout and arrive completely ready.
What happens after I complete the course?
The world opens up. Once you've completed the Beginners Course, all of our other courses are available to you, including dressmaking. It's your jumping-off point for everything.
How big are the groups?
Small, and that's intentional. You'll get plenty of one-to-one time with your tutor, which makes a real difference when you're learning something new.
